Escalating military operations 

Israel's Attacks on Iran: Israel has carried out ongoing airstrikes against Iranian military and nuclear facilities as well as senior officials' homes. Notably, the attacks resulted in the deaths of key figures such as IRGC commander Hossein Salami and nuclear scientists Fereydoon Abbasi and Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi. Read more 

Iran's retaliation: Iran has launched more than one hundred drones and more than 150 ballistic missiles at a variety of targets across Israel, including military bases near Tel Aviv. These strikes have caused damage and injuries, though many missiles were intercepted by Israel's defense systems.

U.S.  Avertissements and Involvement Trump's Position: President Donald Trump has expressed strong support for Israel, stating that the U.S. has "complete and total control of the skies over Iran."  He has also called for Iran's "unconditional surrender" and warned of severe consequences if Iran continues its actions.

Iran's Warning: Iran has warned that any direct support from the United States for Israeli attacks on its nuclear facilities would result in an "immediate and decisive" retaliation, which could escalate into an "all-out war in the region."

International Reactions and Concerns

Global diplomacy: Chinese President Xi Jinping has advised Chinese citizens to leave Iran and called for de-escalation and respect for national sovereignty. Egypt has advocated for a ceasefire and renewed negotiations on Iran's nuclear program in diplomatic talks with Iranian and American officials.

Humanitarian Impact: The conflict has resulted in significant casualties, with at least 585 people reported dead and over 1,300 wounded in Iran.  24 confirmed deaths have occurred in Israel.

Impact on Civilians and Evacuations

Flight Disruptions: The conflict has grounded Israeli commercial flights, stranding thousands of Israelis abroad.  The first flight of "Operation Safe Return" is currently transporting stranded citizens back to their homes as part of repatriation efforts.
