Indian famous cuisines food is melding of various cultures. And all our diversity of flavors and regional cuisines is one of our favorite foods. While the cuisines vary from different state and countries, it are incredibly. And most of the region is built on many similarities in spices and flavors.

Where the cuisines are mainly different between South Indian and North Indian styles. The north Indian region is mostly like vegetarian food. And interesting, the famous food is Indian dishes, while the flavorful spices like turmeric, cumin, coriander, mustard seeds, cardamom, chilli, garlic, cloves, saffron, fennel, nutmeg, star anise, and fenugreek.

Biryani

Biryani is one of the most popular dishes in India and worldwide. It is made by the layering of a fragrant dish made with basmati rice, marinated meat (such as chicken, mutton, beef or vegetable) along with a blend of aromatic spices.



The spices that are used in biryani as ingredients are saffron, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, bay leaves, and garam masala. Accompaniments like boiled eggs, potatoes, fried onions, and yogurt-based raita often enhance the dish.  

Biryani is one of the rich tastes, traditionally enjoy of the meat with aromatic rice.  It’s typically served with accompaniments like raita (yogurt-based side dish), salad, or a simple curry. In some regions, they are preparing their own unique style of biryani in various flavors of beloved dishes. Here are some types of biryani are as below

Tandoori Chicken

Tandoori Chicken is made with marinated chicken, yogurt, and a blend of spices with cumin, coriander, turmeric, and garam masala. It's typically cooked in a tandoor (a clay oven), which imparts a distinct smoky flavor.



The marinated chicken is a mixture of dahi (yogurt) and tandoori masala spices. It spices to colored with Kashmiri red chili powder, pepper, turmeric.

Vada Pav

It is delicious Mumbai street food.

Dosa

Dosa receipe is one of the most famous Indian cuisines. It is a popular dish or snack food called a tiffin. It is made with crispy rice and lentil crêpe and fermented rice. It is often served with a variety of chutneys and sambar (a spiced lentil soup). The batter is spread thin on a hot griddle to create a light, crisp texture.



Dosa is like a breakfast of spiced coconut chutney, tomato chutney and a bowl of sambar.

Samosa can be filled with Non- Vegetarian Varieties of Mutton, Chicken and Fish.

Samosa is a combination with mint or coriander chutney, or tamarind chutney. It can be served as a tea-time snack.

Sambar

Sambar is a traditional and famous South Indian recipe. This dish is easy to make and so heavenly that you turn time to again. It can be prepared with dal, vegetables, tamarind extract, herbs and spices. It is a delicious combination of dal with vegetables. Serve it with Idli, Dosa, Rice and Pongal.



Idiyappam

Idiyappam is a famous traditional South Indian food. It is a delicate stream rice noodle dish. It is made of rice flour, hot water and salt, it is pressed into thin, lacy strings and then streamed. It can be served with a combination of coconut milk, mutton curry, chicken curry, Veg-kuruma and egg curry. 


Puttu

Puttu is a traditional South Indian dish famous in Kerala. It is made of a steamed cylinder of ground rice layered with coconut. Puttu is served with a breakfast dish as a combination of banana, palm sugar, chana curry, green gram and meat curries.



Fish curry

Fish curry is the most popular dish in South India. This fish curry is prepared with tomato, onion, spices, ginger, garlic, green chili, mango and coconut. This dish is one of the favorite dishes of many people around the world. It is served with white rice, dosa, chappati, Idli. 



Parotta


Parotta is layered Indian flatbread made with refined flour. It could be a famous food in South India. Parotta is often available as street food in restaurants. It can be served at weddings and festivals. It is prepared with Maida, egg, ghee and water. It can have a crisp and flaky taste with multiple layers. It is served with a meat curry that’s mutton, chicken, beat and egg.

Yet I have a special obsession with the layered Parotta recipe. This could be because Malabar paratha is the only bread popularly consumed in South India.
